ThinkSystem DE4000F انتخابی ایده‌آل برای طیف وسیعی از بارهای کاری سازمانی مانند کلان‌داده (Big Data) و تحلیل داده، نظارت تصویری، محاسبات فنی (Technical Computing) و سایر برنامه‌های نیازمند I/O بالا محسوب می‌شود.

مدل‌های ThinkSystem DE4000F در قالب رک با فرم فکتور 2U عرضه می‌شوند و دارای 24 درایو با فرم فکتور کوچک (2.5 اینچ – SFF) هستند (مدل 2U24 SFF). این سیستم شامل دو کنترلر است که هرکدام دارای 32 گیگابایت حافظه بوده و در مجموع 64 گیگابایت حافظه برای کل سیستم فراهم می‌کنند. کارت‌های رابط میزبان، اتصالاتی از نوع SAS با سرعت 12 گیگابیت، iSCSI با سرعت 10/25 گیگابیت یا FC با سرعت 8/16/32 گیگابیت را ارائه می‌دهند.
